Hello again

I’ve had the longest writer’s block in history. The last post I published on my blog was nearly a decade ago, which, as I’m writing this down, I still can’t believe. But at some point, I gave up and shut down my blog because I just couldn’t write.

In any case, I’ve decided to get back at it again. Maybe nobody will read any of this, because I’m not going to advertise my new blog anywhere. I just want to write things down for posterity, and also because I’m tired of social media. So few people still write on the web, even though it’s the one platform that matters.

I’m self-hosting this website on my homelab. I’ve been maintaining a homelab for a couple of years now, but I mostly use it to run a few small work-related things. I thought hosting a personal website would be a good fit. I’ll write separately about how I’ve done it; maybe it’ll be useful to someone.
